Hurley is Hip...
They brought out the beautiful people for their Fall Fashion Show!

Hurley International threw an insane fashion show and after-party at the chic Falcon Restaurant on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, CA, bringing out a whirlpool of beautiful people and hot new styles for fall. For those of you unfamiliar with the Falcon, it is a celebrity inundated hotspot with hardwood floors, shag carpeting, neon lighting, a DJ booth, and for Hurley’s big night they even brought out a catwalk for the models.

The show started fashionably late as the Hurley guest list was full. (Hey, those guys have a lot of friends). It wasn’t a problem, though, because waiters dressed in sexy black outfits carried around shi-shi appetizers like tuna tartar on corn tortilla chips, artichoke and tomato bruschetta, and a brownie soufflé that kept the crowd full. When not munching away, there were plenty of people to check out. Among the many faces roaming the floors of the show were Hurley surfers Saxon Boucher, Micah Byrne and Hurley skateboarder Kris Markovich, as well as musicians from Bob’s Office and the Used.

When the show finally started, mouths dropped every which way. Gorgeous female models in pointy high heels and handsome surfers showed off the fall line, making me actually want summer to be done and over with just so I could start shopping. Styles like off-the-shoulder tops for girls, bold logos, splashes of red, stripes, plaid, zebra prints, brimmed beanies and guys in pink were just a few of the trends on and off the runway.

My favorite Hurley outfit of the night was an orange and fire red, one-piece zip-up-the-back swimsuit. Brittany, the model displaying this sexy outfit had a matching red streak down her hair, making the outfit look “en fuego.” I also liked the lavendar and black zebra-striped swim bottoms paired with a classy Hurley jean jacket.

During the performance, there was one model that stole the show. “The tourist” (aka “ReRe”) came out sporting outfits only he can pull off. At different times, he wore a neon Hawaii tourist shirt, rainbow painter hat, brightly colored quilted-baggy pants, Mardi Gras beads, and Hurley pajamas. He wooed the crowd with his hilarious dance moves and over-exaggerated poses. You just had to be there.

After the show, there was more socializing, eating and partying. They gave away Hurley playing cards and even Hurley branded air fresheners for your car (quite handy after leaving a wet wetsuit in the car on the drive up to L.A.) Hurley, a surf inspired brand made their mark in the fashion world and was recognized as hosting “the most fun and fashion savvy show” at LA’s Fashion Week.
